Susan M. Franklin
Susan M. Franklin graduated cum laude from Michigan State University – Detroit College of Law in 2003, where she was a member of the Journal of International Law, the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and a merit scholar. She also received a Jurisprudence Achievement Award for Education Law. Following graduation, she clerked for the Hon. Richard Ryan Lamb of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Prior to law school, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with an emphasis in practical writing, from Grand Valley State University. She joined Williams | Hughes, on March 20, 2006. In December 2009, Susan earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from Grand Valley State University. She is also a trained mediator. In January of 2016, Susan was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education for the Fruitport Community Schools.
Susan’s practice includes municipal law, criminal law, and civil litigation.
